Semester 2 2009 Reflection/Review

1. Medium- Different shades of pencils

Greenware- Non fired clay

Craftsmanship- One who creates or preforms with skill

Relief Printing- Printing from a raised surface

Weaving Loom- ?

Ceramic Coil Building- Long snake like structures to form a pot

Warp threads- Something woven

Plagiarism- Printing on a flat surface

Vanishing point- Point in the middle of a perspective drawing

Monotype- One time print

2. One artist who really inspires me is pablo pacoso. I like that type of abstract art is the most interesting to me. If i was an artist i would probably do art like pacaso.

3. You should apply three coats of glaze to ceramics.

4. Your initials should go on the bottom right hand corner and it should be in pencil.

5. I think my greatest sucess in art this semester is really learning how to be a better drawer.

Printmaking

Semester 1 2008 Reflection

1. I think my greatest success in Art this semester was getting a little better at drawing. I practiced on alot of drawing during this semester and I think I improved.

2. Something I would like to improve on in Art is probably my drawing. Drawing is my favorite thing to do for art and I would like to improve more and more on it.

3.My favorite project in Art this semester was probably the Batik Bag. Its something that ive never done before and it was fun to try something new.

4. My least favorite project was the 3D totem pole. It was my least favorite because I didn't like working with the insolation and I wasn't able to finish.

5. If I had art again I would want to work alot on my drawing. Drawing is something I want to work on and improve alot on.
